For cleanliness and overall care like with meals, I would rate them a 5. But for the nursing care managers, they’re overloaded with work so they can’t give the families the attention they are looking for. They are overworked and they don’t have enough administration as big as that nursing home is.

The nurse is pleasant however overworked. Actually the floor seems to be understaffed. Short on supplies, one size fits all incontinence products. Floor missing an ice machine so it is infrequently delivered in an ice cooler.
She was very pleased with the care she got from them. She felt that social services were less well-organized but she liked the rehab. She had a private room which was very nice and a good size. It had a window that looked out on some trees.
She had been in a room with several patients, including a woman who was crazy and shouting day and night, including explatives. This is not a wonderfully operated facility. It could use updated renovations throughout.
The friendliness and the helpfulness of aides and rehab staff was amazing. I was in another nursing home that was supposedly 5 star, and did not compare to what I got here. I was sent to the 11th floor where the nurses and aides for the most part nice & efficient. It is obvious they are short staff & do the best they can. My mom now shes already home and very energetic. My mom said she miss all the staff at the Gorverneurs maybe one day she will visit them. It is worth mentioning that Medicare pays for what they deem as 'medically necessary' skilled nursing care.
